ITENARY
Day 1 NJP( New Jalpaiguri ) To Mongpo
To reach Mongpoo you have to move through the elephant corridor and dense part of Mahananda Reserve Sanctuary and pass through colourful nurseries , tea garden and crystal clear waater stream of Teesta. Mongpu is well known for Cinchona plantation and cultivation of other medicinal palnt. Cinchona use for extraction of Quinine. ( For Malaria ). Mongpu is also famous for Rabindra Bhavan, the bunglow were the great poet & Nobel laureate Rabindrnath Tagore stayed several time during summers. Tegore first visited this place in 1938 on invitation from Maitreyi Devi. Dinner and ovenight stay at Mongpu.
Day 2 Mongpu Sightseeing and Tinchuley.
Post Breakfast visit Jogighat. A Steel Bridge at Jogighat is the bridge which connect two villages Mungpoo and Sittong. It is one of the Tourist Point in Mongpu and Sittong area where many tourist visits to see the beautiful Steel Bridge and the green surrounding nearby it. You can visit the local church. Previously, there used to be a 100-year old Bamboo church here but now a new building has come up. There is a Bamboo Bridge, which you would love to see wobbling when someone crosses.
You can also spend time walking all around the village along the farms or sit idle on the banks of Riyang river and watch the Lepcha kids returning home. In Sittong, you would love doing “nothing.” The house of Rabindranath Tagore at Mongpoo is just 8 kms away and Latpanchar – the highest point in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is 13 km from Sittong. Latpanchar is a relatively new tourist destination located at an altitude of 5000 ft above sea level on the hilly region of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary. It is in the Kurseong division of Darjeeling district.
Latpanchar is close to the core area of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary. Among the animals found here are the rare mountain goat (serow), tigers, leopards, gaurs, wild boars, different kinds of deer and monkeys, jungle cats, porcupines, civets, monitor lizards and snakes. Latpanchar is also famous for the medicinal plants it produces.
Apart from natural views, Latpanchar has also gained popularity among tourists due to its birding potential. There are about 250 species of birds available in the area including the Rufous Necked Hornbill. Enthusiasts bird from all over India and abroad. Post lunch transfer to Tinchuley. Over night stay at Tinchuley Guest House.
Day 3 Tinchuley to Darjeeling
After a nice warm breakfast, you may visit the Tinchuley Monastery, Takdah Bazar, Takdah Orchid Centre and transfer to Darjeeling. Evening free for leisure. Later in the night, you may have your dinner, followed by an overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 4 Darjeeling Local
Enjoy the lovely morning with a cup of tea/coffee and see the beauty of Kanchenjunga from the balcony of the lodge. After a nice warm breakfast start Darjeeling 7 points sightseeing
( Covering Ava Art Gallery , Gangamaya Park, Roack Garden, Bataasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Zoological park etc.
Day 5 Darjeeling to NJP( New Jalpaiguri)
After breakfast on your return to NJP you would stop at Mirik. You can enjoy Paddle boating ( optional and own cost) in the water of lake. Alternately you can visit to Mirik Monastery. Drop to NJP

DAY 1: NJP (New Jalpaiguri) or NMZ ( New Mal ) to Lataguri / Murti –
To Reach Lataguri/ Murti you have to move through the elephant corridor and dense parts of Baikunthpur Forest and cross River Teesta via Teesta Barrage, Gajoldoba. You can take a short break and enjoy boating and would find migratory birds in winter. Next you make a move towards Lataguri / Murti through Tea Grden Paddy Fields , cross few streams and reach your destination by lunch time. (You can take Gorumara Forest jeep safari in the evening or the next day morning). Overnight at Lataguri / Murti.
DAY 2: Lataguri / Murti sightseeing
You can take Gorumara National Park jeep safari this morning, if you have not availed jeep safari the previous day . After breakfast at resort, leave for Samsing Suntalikhola / Rocky Island . Take a nature walk in the Neora Valley Reserve Forest. And enjoy a walk on the hanging bridge of Suntaleykhola with beautiful surroundings.
Post lunch prepare yourself for the next journey to jhalong Bindu the Chapramari Dense forest. If you are lucky enough you might meet elephant or Bison ( Indian Gour) on the way. Overnight at Lataguri / Murti or Samsing.( Optional)
DAY 3: Murti to Jaldapara
After breakfast proceed for Jaldapara. You can take a Jangle safari at Jaldapara
(Own Cost) visit Kahairbari
Tiger rescue center. Evening return to Murti / Lataguri Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Murti or Lataguri to NJP or NMZ ( New Mal)
Post Breakfast take a nature walk to Gorumara National Park. Enjoy your leisure by romming in local market , you can see and buy also various handicraft made by the local people. Day 1: NJP – Sillerygaon Or Ramdhura (New Darjeeling)
Pickup at NJP early in the morning and transfer to Sillerygaon, a distance covered in about 3.5 to 4 hrs. Situated at an altitude of 6,000 ft, Sillerygaon is a village of not more than 32 families and that too in the middle of a forest. This place is being proclaimed as the New Darjeeling because of its beautiful view of the Kanchendzonga. Its serene atmosphere is an invitation to run away from the hum and din of the city. Rest of the day is to soak in the beauty of Sillerygaon.
Visit the Ramitay view point, Tinchuley view point, Silent Valley and the Damsang Fort ruins. All these places can be hiked/trekked through dense pine forests and no vehicle is required to visit these places. Ramitay view point offers the longest view of River Teesta with approximately 14 turns. Thereafter you can trek to Damsang Fort as well as the Silent valley. Rest of the day at leisure at Sillerygaon.
Day 2: Sillerygaon/ Ramdhura to Zuluk
After breakfast, leave for Dzuluk/Zuluk. Stop at Rongli for Restricted Area Permit. On the way, pass through Lingtam, see the Kuekhola Falls, cross Padamchen and reach Zuluk. At Zuluk, if you so desire, you can visit the Shivalaya Baba Mandir (No vehicle required). Enjoy the sunset at Zuluk from Balasiur sunset point (Walkable distance, no vehicle) Overnight at Zuluk/Padamchen.
Day 3: Zuluk To Kupup and Gnathang Valley and return back to Zuluk /Padamchen.
Sunrise viewing activity (Only if weather is expected to be clear):
Start at 3:30 - 4:00 a.m and leave for Sunrise from the Ganek View point/Lungthung. Enjoy the view of the Kanchendzonga change its hue from Golden to silver and thereafter view the Sun rise over the Bhutan hills. A unique Sunrise view comparable to the best Sunrise anywhere in India.
Note: Sunrise Cost is not included in the package and is extra payable on the spot, only if sunrise trip is availed.
If you go for the Sunrise View, after sunrise, return to Zuluk and then, after breakfast at Zuluk, follow the Silk Route Trail. Enjoy the beauty of the Zigzag Road, Thambi View point, Bhulbhulaiya, Lungthung, Laxmi Chowk, Tukla Kalapokhari, Tukla Baba Mandir, Tukla valley, Jelepla Pass View Point (Distant View) and reach Kupup. At Kupup, don’t miss the Hathi Pokhari Lake, also called the Elephant Lake or the Kupup Lake. You may also indulge in window shopping at the shops at Kupup or buy some Chinese stuff at the small shops at Kupup, selling Chinese products and woolens. Do not forget to taste steaming Momos and tea at Kupup. At Kupup, also see the World’s highest Golf course, the Yak Golf Course at 13025 ft (Guinness Book of World Records acclaimed), the Ice Hockey ground and the young Husband’s Track. Thereafter move on to Gnathang valley.
Gnathang Valley or Gnathang Valley is popularly called the “The Ladakh of East India”. Situated at an altitude of 13,500 ft. above the sea level, Gnathang Valley is one of the most beautiful spots on the Old-Silk-Route sector. Surrounded by snow capped hills and mountain landscape Gnathang Valley offers an astounding view of Mt. Khanchendzongha. Mt. Kanchenjunga seems to be at a stone’s throw behind Gnathang Valley. Viewing the majestic beauty of the Himalayas during sunrise from Gnathang Valley is a life-long memorable experience. Chinese Watch Towers are clearly visible from Gnathang valley with the naked eyes. Visit the Krishna Temple, The Gnathang monastery as well as the British Cemetery at Gnathang Valley. Return to Reshikhola or Aritar and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4: Postbbreakfast transfer to Reshikhola/Aritar.
Full day free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Reshikhola/Aritar to NJP
After breakfast On your return, to NJP you would stop at Lampokhari Lake or the Aritar Lake. You can enjoy paddle boating (Optional and Own Cost) in the placid waters of the lake and do a Parikrama of this Holy Lake. Alternately, you can visit the Mankhim Temple and enjoy the view of the Kanchendzonga as well as the Lampokhari Lake from there. Walk up the Parvateshwar Shivalaya Mandir.
